Obituary of Elwood Chase

The passing of Elwood Allan Chase of Lincoln, NB, occurred on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at home. Born on January 26, 1952 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Simon and Christine (Carlin) Chase. He was a mechanic at Fredericton Hyundai. Elwood was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. He was an avid motorcyclist, having rode in many charity runs, and also enjoyed shuffleboard. Elwood is survived by his girlfriend, Catherine Henry-Cullen; daughter, Tobi Chase (Robert) and son, Darren Chase (Tricia) both of Royal Road, NB; grandchildren, Brandon Sowers, Ethan and Evan Chase; sisters, Louise Thompson (John) of Minto, NB and Bonny Crawford (Willard) of Saint John, NB; first wife, Doreen Ackerson; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 7-9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 are asked to assemble at the funeral home for a Legion Tribute Service on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:45 pm. A Private Interment will take place in Lower Durham Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Foundation-Toy Run.
