Obituary of Ren� St. Pierre

The passing of René Guy St. Pierre of Fredericton, NB, husband of Joyce (Matthews) St. Pierre occurred on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 5, 1930 in Cabano, QC, he was the son of Maurice and Yvonne (Ouellet) St. Pierre. René Guy was a Lineman with NB Tel for 42 years and a life member of Bell Aliant Pioneers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Paul St. Pierre of Fredericton, NB, Susan Theriault (Jean-Pierre) of Edmundston, NB, Denise St. Pierre of Fredericton, NB, Andrew St. Pierre (Debbie) of Halifax, NS and Richard St. Pierre (Heidi) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Natalie Theriault (David Chassé), Lyndsay Hansen (Josh), Eric Haines (Amanda Haslett), Ashley V. Robinson (Jason Inman), Brandon C. Robinson, Mathew St. Pierre, Christopher St. Pierre, Ethan St. Pierre, Sammy St. Pierre and Charlotte St. Pierre; great grandchildren, Noémie Chassé, Krystine Chassé, Hank Haines and Dougie Haines; sisters, Doris Guerrette of Moncton, NB and Rachel Poirier (Edouard) of Montreal, QC; several nieces and nephews; son in law, Michael Haines. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Ann Haines; grandson, Greg Theriault and son in law, Kevin S. Robinson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 1-2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Private Family Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. No flowers at the request of the family, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
