Obituary of Vernon Morehouse

The passing of Vernon Isadore Morehouse, age 82, has occurred at York Care Centre, Fredericton on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Born at Zealand, NB on October 7, 1934 he was the son of the late Percy and Olive (Hanson) Morehouse. Vernon had worked more than 30 years at Department of Transportation with bridge and highway construction crew before his retirement in 1994. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building many projects, camping, travelling, and gardening. Vernon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doreen (Brewer) Morehouse; his children, Susan Morehouse (Dwight) of Burtt’s Corner, NB, Linda Nevers (Stephen) of New Market, NB, Gloria Partington of Leduc, AB, Billy Morehouse of Scotch Lake, NB and Jason Morehouse of Sudbury, ON; his siblings, Phyllis Morehouse (Donald), Shirley Morehouse (Stanley), Oscar Morehouse (Marie) and Laurel Morehouse all of Zealand, NB; his grandchildren, Natasha Arseneault, Tiffany Hoskins, Jonathan Morehouse, Ryan Nevers, Holly Nevers, Gregory R. Morehouse, Jessica Morehouse, Justin Partington, Rachel Hanson, Crystal Morehouse along with 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sons Gregory V. Morehouse (1977) and Bradley Morehouse (2014); his siblings Percy Morehouse, Jr., Eldon Morehouse, Weldon Morehouse and Darrell Morehouse. At the request of Vernon’s family there will be no visitations or funeral service. A burial will take place at a later date at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Zealand, NB.
