Obituary of Elizabeth Lawson

The passing of Elizabeth “Bessie” (Gulliver) Lawson, of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Leo “Cy” Lawson, occurred on September 6, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on June 22, 1918 in Bay-du-Vin, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Gladys (Dutcher) Gulliver. Bessie previously worked in sales with Kmart. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church as well as the church guild. Bessie is survived by her daughters, Patricia and Margaret Lawson both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Allison Fraser, Connie Fraser, Janie Cleaver, Edith Gordon and Nancy Dutcher; her brothers, George, Willie, John, Richard and Don Gulliver. A Graveside Service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery, Fredericton, NB on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Extra Mural Program, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Fredericton SPCA.
