Obituary of Willis Thomas

The passing of Willis Walter Thomas, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Rae (Gorman) Thomas, occurred on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on February 16, 1924 in Stanley, NB, he was a son of the late Thomas and Jennie (Steen) Thomas. Willis was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with the City of Fredericton. He was a member of Nashwaaksis United Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and four wheeling. Besides his wife, Willis is survived by his daughters, Shirley Kelly (Wayne), Donna Taylor and Linda Doherty (Bill) all of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Terry Kelly (Tina), Kimberly MacKenzie (Scott), Tymathy Dempsey (Wendell) and Aaron Taylor (Christine); five great grandchildren, Mallory Kelly, Nathan Kelly, Brittany MacKenzie, Teagan Dempsey and Tylar Dempsey; great great grandson, Benjamin; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Dora Davidson and Pearl Gorman; brothers, Leslie and Gerald Thomas and son in law, Gary Taylor. At Willis’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Private Graveside Service will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery.
