Obituary of Marthe Wilkins

The passing of Marthe Gaetane Wilkins of Fredericton, NB, wife of John E. Wilkins, occurred on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Couturier) Pelletier. Marthe worked at Tim Hortons. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wilkins; grandson, Aiden MacDougall; siblings, Therese, Raymone and Leo Pelletier; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marthe was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 1-2 pm. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 2 pm at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Eric Vautour officiating. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Red Cross.
