Life Legacy The passing of John “Larry” McDonald of Taymouth, NB, husband of the late Hazel (Barkhouse) McDonald occurred on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 27, 1945 in Snowden, SK, he was the son of the late John “Jack” and Marjorie (Pagan) McDonald. Larry worked in maintenance for the City of Fredericton. He was a soldier of the Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church. He had a passion for serving the lord and enjoyed working on the Kettle Campaign. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and especially enjoyed his dogs. He was a man of honour and will be missed. Larry is survived by his daughters, Laurie McDonald of British Columbia, Catherine McKinney (Donald) of Taymouth, NB and Anita Wilson (Keith) of Durham Bridge, NB; sons, Brian Turner (Karen) of Ontario and Tim Turner (Brenda) of Durham Bridge, NB; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Hills (Dale) of British Columbia and their children Brad and Jackie; and other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Angus and sister Thelma. Visitation will take place at Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11 am. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Salvation Army Fredericton Corps, Chalmers Foundation-Palliative Care or the Rehabilitation Unit.
