Obituary of Donna Forbes

Life Legacy Donna Mary Anne Forbes (LaFrance) of Fredericton, NB, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Paradise Villa. She was born on September 15, 1931 in Tilley, NB. Donna is survived by her children, Scott Forbes (Kelly), Kathy Forbes-Cloutier (Mike), Angela Forbes (Richard Renaud) and Mitchell Forbes; grandchildren, Abigail Forbes, Tiffany and Tonya Cloutier, Eric Renaud, Aaron, Victoria and Alexandre Forbes; brother, John LaFrance; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Percy LaFrance and Jessie (McGillan) LaFrance; husband, Ronald Forbes; daughter, Cynthia Forbes; brother, Aubrey LaFrance; sisters, Ruby Dixon and Edith LaFrance. Donna graduated from Hotel Dieu, School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1952. She worked as a nurse at VPH and the Polio Clinic in Fredericton. Although she loved her career she was even more passionate about raising her family. She enjoyed many years of gardening, bowling, reading, playing cards, walking, cooking and especially visiting with family and friends. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 4 pm with Rev. Bill Brennan officiating. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
