Obituary of Shane Beek

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shane Robert Beek announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. He was born in Fredericton, NB on January 15, 1961 to Ward and Frances (Armitage) Beek. In addition to his parents and wife, Vanessa (Lyons) Beek of Taxis River, NB; he is survived by his daughter, Amanda Beek of Taxis River, NB; brothers, David Beek (Diane) of Tamworth, ON, Johnny Beek (Susan) of Edinburgh, Scotland and Duane Beek (Valerie) of Tyne and Wear, England; sisters, Marlyn Beek of Winnipeg, MB and Sheryl Fowler (John) of Tracy, NB; special niece, Jacquelyn Fowler; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. His faithful companion Susie will greatly miss him. Shane was predeceased by his son, Adam Beek; parents in law, Leonard and Delores Lyons, who he referred to as Dad and Mom. Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly, Boiestown, NB on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Green officiating and Pastor Wade Bradford assisting. Interment will take place in Parker Ridge Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
