our thoughts are with all of you as you remember all the "little things" over the span of your life with your dad/fatherinlaw/grandfather.
Uncle Bill was pretty special to us back in our childhood, so glad he and dad "kept each other company "on their last day.

Bill was a wonderful colleague who was passionate about family, history, hockey and Saint Thomas U. I had the greates respect for him and valued his counsel. I will always remember the time I saw him swaying with the crowd and belting out songs at a Dylan concert. He was one of the very good ones with a tremendous zest for life and a wonderful sense of humour. You are missed, Bill. Thomas A. Fish

Mike and Carolyn, hugs and love from your Jeffrey cousins. So sad to hear about Uncle Bill. He is fondly remembered for his wonderful story-telling but also his kindness and humour. Leslie especially remembers how wonderful he was when our Grampie Chick was in hospital. We can still see him, pipe in hand, at some cottage or other, surrounded by kids and dogs, telling stories. Bill and Dad are probably up there swapping tales right now...

As a former student I can say his passion for history was obvious. But what I remember most was his love of university hockey. His cheering was loud and energetic. He will be missed.
