Obituary of Alvah Gilmore

The passing of Mike Gilmore, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Alma (Love) Gilmore, occurred on July 6, 2017 at his home. Born on March 2, 1933, in Keswick Ridge, NB, he was a son of the late Frank and Susie (Sloat) Gilmore. Mike was a Veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Canadian Armed Forces. He was a member of Greenwood Dr. Baptist Church and the Golden Club. Besides his wife, Mike is survived by his daughter, Margaret Fox (Bruce) of Bermuda; his sons, Fred Gilmore of Calgary, AB and Eldred Gilmore of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Alex and Sam; sister Gwen Burns of Oromocto, NB and sister-in-law Connie Gilmore of Fredericton, NB. He was predeceased by his brother Patrick Gilmore; sisters Joan Gilmore and Geraldine Merrithew. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Greenwood Drive Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment will take place in Mactaquac Cemetery.
