Obituary of Sewell Chase

CHASE, Sewell Wayne 1925 – 2017. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” – Psalm 116:15. On Friday, June 16, Sewell went into the presence of the Lord. He will be greatly missed by his children, Linda Olive (Mike) - Kingston, ON; Sharon Fawkes - Quispamsis, NB; Patti Morgan (Dennis) - Saskatoon, SK; Gary Chase (Carol) and Paul Chase (Trudy) - Fredericton, NB; sister Arvilla Stairs - Stoney Creek, NB; sister-in-law Peggy and brother Earl Chase (Velda) – Fredericton, NB. He is predeceased by wife, Virginia, daughter Cynthia and brothers Charlie, George and Ken. Sewell had 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, June 19 from 1-3 pm and 7-9 pm. The celebration of Sewell’s life will take place at Marysville Baptist Church, 150 Cowperthwaite Street on Tuesday, June 20 at 2 pm, with Rev. Ralph Irving officiating. Interment will immediately follow service. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Marysville Baptist Building Fund or Heart & Stroke.
