Obituary of Anna DeMerchant

The passing of Anna Harriett DeMerchant, of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Edgar DeMerchant, occurred on June 5, 2017 at the Oromocto Public Hospital, Oromocto, NB. Born on June 25, 1924 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late George and Mabelle (McCormick) Blank. Anna was previously employed as a clerk at UNB Bookstore. Anna is survived by her daughter, Marie Clark (Ronald) of New Maryland, NB; her son, Robert “Bob” DeMerchant (Deborah) of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Jeff DeMerchant and Dana Arnold; her great grandchildren, Riley and Cole; her sister-in-law, Jan Blank of Ottawa, ON and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was predeceased by her sisters, June Watkins and Ethel Griffith and her brothers, Jack and Ron Blank. A Private Graveside Service will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.
