Obituary of Reigh Eldridge

The passing of Reigh Maxwell Eldridge of Fredericton, NB occurred on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Hospice House. Born on November 13, 1928 in Yarmouth, NS, he was the son of the late Harry and Nellie (Porter) Eldridge. Reigh spent his working years in the financial industry, working in Yarmouth, Montreal, Carleton Place, North Bay, Toronto, London, Ontario and latterly as manager of Royal Trust in Fredericton. He as a member of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church and with his wife served on the Pastoral Care Committee. He previously served on the Board of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, Provincial Committee of The Duke of Edinburg Awards and was a member of the Fredericton Golden Club. We will remember Reigh as a kind and loving man. In addition to his wife of 66 years, Lois (Jacomb) Eldridge, he is survived by his daughter, Claire MacFarlane (Len) of Fredericton, NB; son, Stephen Eldridge (Nancy) of Temperance Vale, NB; grandchildren, Leah Carle (Matthew), Sarah (Marc), Jessica (Sean) and Zach; great grandchildren, Jack, Andy and Fred; sisters, Phyllis Jordan of Fredericton, NB and Jean Marshall of Bridgewater, NS. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 512 Charlotte Street, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Doug Blaikie officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Presbyterian World Service and Development or Hospice House. Family wish to thank the staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and staff of Hospice House for their care and compassion shown to Reigh and his family.
