Obituary of Peace Lyons

The passing of Peace “Victoria” Lyons of Fredericton, NB, wife of Weyman Lyons occurred on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at York Care Centre. Born on August 22, 1941 in Ludlow, NB, she was the daughter the late Bertram and Hazel (Pond) Munn. Victoria was a member of Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church; a former member of the choir and enjoyed her time as a Sunday school teacher. She loved to cook, garden, sing and take care of children. In addition to her husband, Victoria is survived by her daughter, Pam Howe (Larry) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Jeffrey Lyons (Nicole) of Taymouth, NB and Kendall Lyons (Stacey) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Candace Mackey (Jeff), Amy Howe, Jennilee Howe, Joshua Lyons, Nicolas Lyons, Cohen Lyons and Dexter Lyons; great grandchildren, Kailey Mackey and Karley Mackey; sisters, Leona Munn of Ludlow, NB, Ruth Burke of Fredericton, NB, Darlene Jardine of Penniac, NB and Brenda Matthews (Jody) of Fredericton, NB; brother, Daniel Munn (Isabell) of Ludlow, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Betty Munn and brother, Gerald Munn. Visitation will take place at Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 1 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating.
