Life Legacy The passing of Claude Alvin Peterson of McGivney, NB, partner of Bonnie Bright occurred on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home. Born on September 9, 1936 in McGivney, NB, he was the son of the late James and Fern (Greer) Peterson. He worked as a lineman and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 80. Claude served as a peacekeeper in Germany and also enjoyed playing cribbage. In addition to his partner, Claude is survived by his daughters, Kelly Munn (Troy) and Trudy Peterson (John); son, Corey Peterson; step-daughter, Jennifer Thomas; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Amy, Stephanie, Jennifer, Samantha, Andrew, Whitney, Payton; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Jemma, Ty, Terri-Lee; sister, Eileen Ross (Doug); brother, Bliss Peterson (Shirley); sisters-in-law, Edna Peterson, Delores Stairs, Loretta McLaggan, Patsy Calhoun, Shirley Ross, Carol Ross; brother-in-law, John Cameron. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Peterson; siblings, Marie, Allen, Eugene, Maisie, Donna, James, Hal and Paulette; sister-in-law, Fredericka Storey; brother-in-law, Jim Cameron. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Beaverbrook Branch #80 will assemble for a Tribute Service prior to the Funeral at 1:45 pm in the chapel.
