Obituary of Brian Munn

The sudden passing of Brian Warden Munn of Astle, NB occurred on Friday, March 31, 2017. Born on August 12, 1950, he was the son Alda (Scott) Desroches and the late Warden Munn. Brian was an Industrial Electrician and is a member of the IBEW. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed cooking, pickling and gardening. In addition to his mother, Brian is survived sons, Jason Munn (Margo) of Alberta, Marshall Hillier (Tiffany) of Porter Cove, NB, Adam Hillier (Stephanie) of Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren, Jarrod, Kiera, Charlee, Kaylee, Greyson, Stella, Savannah, Jeremy and Brady; sisters, Joan Munn-Theriault, Lorrie Fowler (Dudge), Evelyn Munn, Betty Norrad (Arnie) and Sherry Balachanoff; brothers, Reggie Munn (Bev), Sonny McLaggan (Janet), Chuck Arthurs (Donna), Stephen Desroches, Danny Desroches (Pam) and David Desroches (Cheryl); chosen parents, Loretta and Sammy McLaggan; special friend, Dorthey; several nieces and nephews; and his furry sidekick, Shelby. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a son, Jeremy Munn; brother, Dana Munn; and brother-in-law, Mike Balachanoff. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Chapel on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. David Williston officiating. A reception will follow at the Boiestown United Church. Interment will be in Astle Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Central New Brunswick Nursing Home or a charity of the donor’s choice.
