Life Legacy
The passing of Alice Pearl Ossinger of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late P. Thurston Ossinger occurred on Friday, March 24, 2017 at York Care Centre. Born on April 29, 1930 in Freeport, NS, she was the daughter of the late Vaughan and Pearl (Hersey) Lent. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church; Women’s Guild and The Order of the Eastern Star. Alice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and spending time year around at the camp at Kerrs Lake.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Peggy MacIntosh (Calvin) of Fredericton, NB; her son, Phillip Ossinger (Pam) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Stephen Ossinger (Lori), David Ossinger (Nancy), Jamie MacIntosh, Anna MacIntosh (Lincoln Carnam), Carolyn Moffatt and Alyson Munn (Jody); great grandchildren, Jackson and Grayson Ossinger, Jacob, Julia, Samuel and Emma Ossinger, Grant and Reagan Carnam, Petra and Veda Moffatt and Charlee Munn; sisters, Eva Outhouse and Muriel Elliott both of Digby, NS; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Pat Moffatt; sisters, Beatrice Griffith, Anna Scrivens, Jeanette Perry and Virginia Stewart; brothers, infant Ernest, Horace, Phillip and Vaughan.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fireside Room. Interment will take place in St. Andrews Rural Cemetery, St. Andrews, NB at a later date.
