Obituary of Edison Buckley

The passing of Edison Eugene Buckley of Scotch Lake, NB, husband of Carol (Jackson) Buckley occurred on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at home. Born on February 17, 1948 in Burton, NB, he was the son of the late Eugene and Lila (Currie) Buckley. He previously worked as a welder at Horsnell’s for 17 years and was currently employed with Natural Resources in Kingsclear. Edison was a member of the Keswick Ridge United Church. He loved to fish, hunt and work in the wood pile. In addition to his wife, Edison is survived by his daughter, Lisa Sawyer (John) and son, Mark Buckley (Tanya) both of Fredericton, NB; three grandsons; sister, Marion Stone (Wayne) of Mactaquac, NB; special nephew, Steven (Angela); several other nieces, nephews and aunts. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Elaine and Roberta. Although there will be no visitation by request; a Memorial Service will take place at Keswick Ridge United Church on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Merrill Slipp and Rev. A. David Luker officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Keswick Ridge United Church, the Lung Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
