Obituary of William Ensor
"I am just going on a long fishing trip."
On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, William Franklin Ensor died peacefully at home at the age of 70. Gramp was the center of our family, his guidance and words of encouragement will be forever missed.
Gramp spent his summer days with the love of his life, Beatrice, and their dogs Zeke and Liz at their cottage on Magaguadavic Lake. Here he loved to fish, watch his grandchildren enjoy summer activities and reminisce with friends in front of the fire watching the incredible Magaguadavic sunsets. With his lifelong friend, Jeff Christie, he hunted along the back roads of Charlotte and York counties. He especially loved to organize "The Crew", for tailgate lunches and skeet shooting during the hunting season at Scotch Lake. He received the Lieutenant Governors Award for Wild Atlantic Salmon Conservation in 2016. Gramp was recognized for his lifetime passion and dedication to sport fishing in New Brunswick. His legacy being, "Take a kid fishing". His life was full of family, friends and fishing and he would always comment about being an incredibly lucky man.
He is predeceased by his father, Jack Parks Ensor and his mother, Charlene Frances (Peterson) Ensor. He is survived by his adored wife, Beatrice; his brother, Frederick “Ted” Ensor (Joan); daughters, Nancy Ensor (Tim Comeau) and Patty Guignard (Paul); he was very proud of his grandchildren, Justin MacNeil (Leslie), Josh MacNeil (Katlyn Doherty), Jake MacNeil (Katelin Burridge), Julien Guignard, Adriana Guignard, Christopher Comeau and Megan Comeau (Andre Aikens); great grandchild, Zoey Jade MacNeil; several nieces and nephews.
