Obituary of Perry Dobbelsteyn
The passing of Perry Arnold Joseph Dobbelsteyn of Fredericton, NB, husband of Karen Lynn (Good) Dobbelsteyn occurred on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a short courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 15, 1961 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of June (Larsen) Dobbelsteyn and the late Gerald Dobbelsteyn. He was a member of St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church. Perry was a partner in Nashwaak Electric Ltd. He loved camping with his family, was an avid car enthusiast, and liked drag racing at the Miramichi Dragway. He also found great joy in boating and motorcycles. Perry’s claim to fame was the 1987 Buick Grand National.
In addition to his mother and wife, Perry is survived by his children, Alec (his mother, Diane Burt), William and Olivia; brother, Danny Dobbelsteyn (Susan); sister, Tracey Dobbelsteyn both of Fredericton, NB; nephews, Cody and Brandon Dobbelsteyn; mother and father in law, Jim and Fran Good of Douglas, NB.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2 pm with Father Martin Arputham as celebrant.
