Obituary of Donald Willar

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Donald Arthur Willar of New Maryland, NB, occurred on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 13, 1955 in London, ON, he was the son of Margaret (Porter) Willar and the late Donald H. Willar. Donald was an avid fisherman who especially had a passion for fishing in Newfoundland, was an accomplished tradesman and will be remembered as someone who was willing to help those in need. He was a member of Barkers Point Lions Club. In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by his sons, Adam Willar (Amanda) and Jamie Willar; grandchildren, Tyler, Abagail and Julia; siblings, Margaret Hardie (John), Tara Estabrooks (Kevin), Robert “Bob” Willar (Brenda) and William “Bill” Willar (Valerie); nieces, Lisa, Sarah and Emily; great niece, Ella; great nephew, Cayden and cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
