Obituary of David Mills

The passing of David Allan Mills of Royal Road, NB, husband of Barbara (Gourley) Mills occurred on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 25, 1941 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Geraldine (Rowan) Mills. David retired form Central Auto Parts, after having worked there for over 30 years. David enjoyed the outdoors, including long walks on the Royal Road visiting his neighbours. In addition to his wife of 53 years, David is survived by his children, Stacy Miller (Darren) of Water Valley, AB and Steven Mills (Jamie) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Nicole Mills-Nelson (Jesse) and Caitlin Miller; great grandchild, Riley Nelson; brother, Robert “Bob” Mills (Rita); brothers and sisters in law, Ed Gourley (Carol), David Gourley (Verna), Dennis Gourley (Barb), Philippa Gourley and Linda McKeown (Victor); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother and sister in law, Walter “Bubsy” Mills (Anne); brother in law, Neville Gourley. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 7-9 pm.
