Obituary of Gerald Forman
The peaceful passing of Gerald William Foreman occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on January 21, 2017. The second child of the late Annie (Hickey) and Arthur Foreman, he was born March 20, 1940, and raised on the family farm in Ward Settlement, NB. He spent much of his life in construction, and farming in Western Canada before settling back in Ward Settlement. Since returning home, he enjoyed playing crib at the Golden Age Club Stanley and at home with anyone who came for a visit. He loved to socialize and regale folks with his many stories.
He is survived by son, Mark; step sons, Alan and Chris Ginter of Maple Ridge, BC; sisters, Win (Robert) Taylor and Anne-Marie Gorman; brothers, Fred, Neil (Giselle), Roy (Linda), Dennis, Harry (Kathy) and Robert (Marilyn); aunt, Helen (Foreman) Mudge; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by baby sister, Margaret Jean; brother, Lawrence: brother-in-law, Keith Gorman.
Special thanks to Upper Nashwaak Outreach and the many caregivers who helped him remain in his home until near the end of his life.
No visitation by request. Memorial Mass and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Just Friends Food Bank, Stanley, NB or to the Salvation Army. Personal condolences maybe offered through www.yorkfh.com
