Obituary of Rita Wade

The passing of Rita Olive Elizabeth Wade of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Chester “Chub” Wade, occurred on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the York Care Centre. Born on January 10, 1926 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Margaret (Smith) Nealis. Rita was a member of the Gibson Memorial United Church – UCW, Penniac Quilters and was a long time member of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered at the hospital gift shop. Rita is survived by her daughters, Shirley Dingley (Reg) and Susan Wade (Brian Bubar) both of Penniac, NB; son, Eric Wade of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Chris Dingley, Julie (Dingley) Cameron, and Geoff Daugharty; great grandchildren, Maddox and Liam Daugharty, Mackenzie and Cameron Dingley, and Dylan and Piper Cameron; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Rita was predeceased by her grandson, Bradley Dingley; sisters, Yvonne Legere and Paula Murdoch; brother, Leo Nealis. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 1-2, with a Memorial Service to follow directly after at 2 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating.
