Obituary of Allen Hunter

Hunter, Allen Clifton The passing of Allen Clifton Hunter of Astle, NB, husband of Frances (Fullarton) Hunter, occurred on Monday, January 9, 2017 at home. Born on May 1, 1935 in Astle, NB, he was the son of the late Horace and Gladys (Green) Hunter. He was a member of Cross Creek Baptist Church. Allen worked in forestry for Bowater, until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, loved to entertain, tell stories and especially loved playing his guitar. In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by his daughter, Marigail Hunter (Todd Horne); son, Darcy Hunter (Fran); step daughter, Trena Hawkes (Brent); step sons, Tony Case (Tammy) and Troy Case (Kerry); grandchildren, Jillian Norrad, Lindey Norrad, Jesse Hunter, Miranda Videcak and Chelena Pyne; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; sisters, Cora Taylor (Robert), Marilyn Wyton (Bill), Ethel Woodcock (Billy), Valerie Jewett (Minard) and Lottie Price; sisters in law, Elsie Hunter and Lottie Hunter; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Reanna Pyne; sisters, Harriet Perley, Lorna Stewart and his infant sister, Arvella; brothers, Leonard and Arnold Hunter. Visitation will take place at Cross Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Cross Creek Baptist Church on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating. Interment will take place in Cross Creek Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cross Creek Baptist Church, Cross Creek Baptist Cemetery or the charity of the donor’s choice.
