Obituary of Mary DeMerchant

The passing of Mary Constance DeMerchant of Douglas, NB, wife of Scott DeMerchant occurred on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 24, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Woodbury and Gertrude Williston. Mary was a teacher and also enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her daughter, Amy DeMerchant; son, Jeremy DeMerchant; grandchildren, Dominic and Desirae DeMerchant; sister, Margaret Chaisson (Louie); brothers, David Williston and Donnie Williston (Gail); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Belyea. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 1-2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall officiating.
