Obituary of Doris Hallihan

The passing of Doris Minnie Hallihan of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Jerry Hallihan occurred on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 11, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Sarah (MacAllister) Matchett. Doris was an exceptional mom, wife and friend to all. She always put the interest of others before herself. Doris is survived by her son, Wayne Hallihan (Wendy); her daughters, Wendy Banks and Pam Greer (Hal) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Greg Hallihan, Jenna Hallihan, Amber Banks and Hollie Greer; great grandchildren, Jordan Chapman, Nate and Cameron Hallihan and Farrah Brewer and special daughter in law, Pam Nierlich (Rob) of Fredericton, NB. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was predeceased by her brother, Harold Matchett. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 12-2 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.
