Obituary of Muriel Campbell

The passing of Muriel Marie “Mur” Campbell, wife of Phillip Campbell of Stanley, NB occurred on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Stephenville Crossing, NF on November 10, 1955 she was a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Clara (Benoit) Maher. Muriel worked at Nashwaak Villa Nursing Home in Stanley as a personal support worker for almost 25 years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Stanley. Muriel had a passion for music, especially Johnny Reid and enjoyed listening to Maryanne and Morgan sing. She loved going to New River Beach, fulfilled her dream of swimming with the dolphins and was an avid collector of angels. In addition to her husband of 30 years, Muriel is survived by daughters, Chantal Pelletier (Jeff Dempsey) of Ontario, Michelle Campbell-Ferdinand (Darren) of Stanley, NB, Sabrina Stuber (Mike) of Medicine Hat, AB; sons, Tracy Campbell (Melanie) of Woodstock, NB, Joey Campbell of Lower Sackville, NS; grandchildren, Emma, Mya, Bailey, Alyson, Morgan, Chloe, Bradley, Elizabeth, Jesse, Cody; sisters, Clarice Rogers, Hilda Walker, Jenny King, Donna Madore; brothers, Al, Johnny, Tom, Leo Maher; several nieces and nephews, especially niece Kimberly “Kimmie” who lived with the family for several years. Besides her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Maher. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon McLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters officiating.
