Obituary of Brenda Wilson
The passing of Brenda Jean Wilson of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Francis “Frank” Wilson occurred on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 13, 1945 in Edmonton, AB, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Bertha (Adamson) Burrows. Brenda worked for the Children’s Aid Society of Halifax, NS. She was a volunteer at the Missions Thrift Store and the Fredericton Fish and Game Association, helping many with a smile on her face.
Brenda is survived by her daughters, Christine Lee (JT) of Vancouver, BC and Kathleen Commerford of Edmonton, AB and their father, David Commerford; grandchildren, Jessica Lee, Jack Lee, Meryl and Vida Commerford; step daughter, Teresa Wilson of Fredericton, NB; step sons, Gerald Wilson (Pat) of Greenwood, NS and Doug Wilson (Wendy) of Oromocto, NB; brothers, Bruce Burrows (Linda) of Seabright, NS and Blair Burrows (Shelly) of Brandon, MN; sister in law, Elaine Burrows of Manitoba; many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Darlene Commerford; brothers, Barry and Robert Burrows.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall officiating. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
