Obituary of Faith Lavoie

The passing of Faith Annabel Lavoie of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Arthur Lavoie occurred on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 25, 1929 in Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Annabella (Baxter) Boyes. Mom loved a good book, or even a bad one, any old spaghetti western and the Toronto Blue Jays. She was a talented seamstress, a gifted artist, a crafting wizard, and an amazing horticulturalist, her flower gardens were the envy of her neighbourhood. And that giggle, it was infectious and greatly adored. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother, who gave wholly of herself to her loved ones. She was beautiful and she will be missed forever. Faith is survived by her daughter, Vicki Clark (Peter Murchison); son, David Clark (Christine) and Doug Clark (Carol Ann); grandchildren, Josh Hunter, Jeff Clark, Andrew Clark, Ian Clark and Elizabeth Clark; brother, Douglas Boyes (Barbara); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Faith was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Boyes and brother, Billy Boyes. At this time there will be no services by request. A Graveside Service will take place in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, Minto, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Fredericton SPCA.
