Obituary of Walter Cameron

The passing of Walter Douglas Cameron of Fredericton, NB, husband of Ann (Gilbey) Cameron occurred on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 28, 1936 in Marysville, NB, he was the son of the late Neil and Madeline (Brewer) Cameron. Walter was a Retired Mechanical Engineer with NB Power and enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his daughters, Jane Taylor (Bruce) and Susan Power (Jim); sons, Samuel Cameron (Charlene) and Mark Cameron; grandchildren, Chelsey Fitch, Cameron Fitch, Zachary Fitch, Benjamin Fitch, Laura Kissell (Mike), Rebecca Arsenault, Sarah Arsenault, Chris Cameron and Jessica LeBlanc (Derrick); great grandchildren, Jacob Allan and River Kissell; brother, Charles Cameron (Winnifred); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Emilie Arsenault. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
