Obituary of Lana Mercure

The passing of Lana Dawn Mercure occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on December 17, 2016. Born on April 4, 1969 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Marjorie (Banks) Mercure and the late Leonard Mercure. Lana was previously employed at Horizon Health. Her main passion was spending time with her grandkids. Lana is survived by her children, Jolene Mercure (fiancé Josh Harvey), Sarah Marche (Dylan), DJ Mercure and their father Donald Gabriel; brothers, Kevin Mercure (Angela) and James Mercure; twin sister, Leanne Johnson; grandchildren, Emma Humble and Myah Marche; nephew, Christopher Johnson; niece, Ashley Meade; aunt, Irene Johnston; and special friend, Tina Froude. In addition to her father, Lana was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and special niece, Jennifer Johnson. There will be Visitation at York Funeral Home, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 2-4 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 4 pm with Rev. Mark Brewer officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Mercure, James Mercure, Dylan Marche, Christopher Johnson, Michael Lint and Eric Johnston. Interment will take place in Olivet Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
