Obituary of Shelly Flynn

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shelly Lee Flynn peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on December 15, 2016 with loving family by her side. Born on March 10, 1965, she was the daughter of Carol and the late Tony Winzar. Shelly graduated from Bathurst High School, and then went into nursing at the age of 17. However, deciding the career wasn’t for her, she went to NBCC and graduated Valedictorian from Computer Programming in 1986. She ran her own business developing software and after the diagnosis of MS, she worked for Nortel as an IT specialist, and then at Innovatia as Project Manager and Process Developer. Besides her mother, Shelly is survived by her loving spouse Tony Cooper and the loves of her life, her sons, Cody David Anthony Flynn and Stephen Thomas Cooper; her sister, Lynn Keleher (Bill) and niece Shawna Winzar; her brother, Derek Winzar (Tara) and nephews Devon and Dylan. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Anne Marie Brawn (Keith) and nephew Alex and niece Sarah; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Shelly is predeceased by her father, Tony Winzar and her paternal and maternal grandparents. The family will be receiving family and friends at York Funeral Home, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2-6 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society for an on-going development of a cure. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
