Obituary of Lucia "Lucy" D'Andreamatteo

The passing of Lucia “Lucy” D’Andreamatteo of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Michelle “Mike” D’Andreamatteo occurred on Wednesday, December 13, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 16, 1919 in Castelfrentano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Mauro and Bambina Campitelli. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. Lucy loved gardening, cooking for her family, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. Lucy is survived by her daughter, Rita DiCarlo (Nick) of Fredericton, NB; a son, Joseph (Yvonne) of Hagersville, ON; nine grandchildren, Michael, Lucy, Nina, Tina, Carla, Julie, Dino, Lucas and Marissa; ten great grandchildren; daughter in law, Nancy D’Andreamatteo. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was predeceased by her son, Mauro D’Andreamatteo and sister, Maria (Natale) Castillenti. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 10-11 am followed by the Funeral Service at 11 am with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery at a later date.
