Obituary of Barry MacNabb
The sudden passing of Barry Neill MacNabb of Fredericton, NB, husband of Laura (Green-Colwell) MacNabb, occurred on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home. Born on December 15, 1953 in Fredericton, NB he was the son of Joan (Sturgeon) and the late Gordon “Bud” MacNabb. Barry worked as a Plumbing Inspector for the city of Fredericton; he was currently employed with Clowater Plumbing. He was a member of the Fredericton and District Pipes and Drums, loved camping at Heritage Campground and spending Friday nights in the Shed.
In addition to his wife and mother, Barry is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Joëlle), Christopher (Julia), and Matthew (Elise) MacNabb; stepdaughters, Megan Colwell (Jon), Ellie Graves (Ryan) and Susan Colwell (Craig); brother, Paul MacNabb (Becky), and Laurie MacNabb and his children, Terra, Rikki and Sarah; grandchildren, Adara, Kaleigh, Jordan and Jasmine.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 1-4 pm. A Memorial Service will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Wayne Flowers officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
