Mom was born in Campbellton, NB on August 3, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Angus and Christine (Meagher) McRae. She was the third of six children, three girls and three boys. In 1960, after years of health issues, Mom was diagnosed with a heart condition that eventually took her to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, QC for open heart surgery. The doctors were surprised that she lived to be 22. After her recovery, she returned to Campbellton, where she worked at a few different jobs until her move to Fredericton in 1964. It was in Fredericton that she met my Dad, Earl and they were married on December 12, 1968. Mom worked at Creaghan’s department store until I was born in 1971, at that time she took on the full time job of stay-at- home MOM, Thanks Mom XO.
