Obituary of Anna Fletcher

Fletcher, Anna “Marilla” The passing of Anna “Marilla” Fletcher of Rothesay, NB, wife of the late Eugene Fletcher occurred on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 28, 1932 in Rusagonis, NB, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Laura (Greer) Phillips. She was a Matron of the Eastern Star in Sussex, NB. Marilla loved to read, was great at playing cards and enjoyed walking around the mall. Marilla is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Grondin (Gilles) and Joan Joy (Walter); sons, Kevin (Shelley) and Mark; grandchildren, Greg, Lora, Erin, Shane, Amy, Candace, Meghan, Ryan, Joshua, Andrew and Dane; great grandchildren, Emma, Parker, Nicholas, Gabriel, Jacob, Lucas, Finn and Sebastian; sisters, Norma Phillips (Fred) and Carolyn Goss (Jim); brother, Darrell Phillips (Mary); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, David Eugene; sisters, Esther, Margaret, Eileen, Joyce, Virginia, Merle and Marion; brothers, Frederick, Archibald and Gerald. Although there will be no visitation; a Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Rusagonis Baptist Cemetery.
