Obituary of Stanley Foreman

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our husband, father and step father, Stanley “Stan” Douglas Foreman on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was a man of many trades throughout the years, from the Royal Canadian Navy (HMCS Annapolis) to Electric Motor Service to Electric Motor Repair to an electrician with his brother, and finally to Cookes Aquaculture, until his retirement. Stan enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing his garden but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was well known for his sense of humour and teasing. Stan will be forever missed and loved by his loving wife, Sheila. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen Cormier (Kirby) of Scotch Lake, NB, Michael Foreman (Shawna Thompson) of Blacks Harbour, NB; step sons, Curtis Dunphy (Jessica Coughlan) of Durham, NB and Carter Dunphy (Jesseca) of Penniac, NB; his cherished grandchildren, Dylan McLaughlin, Cohen Dunphy, Kaylee Thompson and Connor Dunphy and expected unborn grandson, Jaxson Foreman; brother, Lester Foreman (Linda) of Fredericton, NB; niece, Krista (Foreman) McMinn; nephews, Stewart, Stephen, Gray and Mark MacDougall, Jeff and Brian Foreman. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Bessie (Scott) Foreman; first wife, Peggy (Connolly) Foreman; sister, Grace MacDougall; brothers, Malcolm and Murray Foreman, and his travelling companion, Jasmine. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Yvette Swan officiating, followed with a reception in the Fireside Room with a time to greet and have fellowship with the family. Interment will take place in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Stanley, NB at a later date. The family would like to express thanks to the staff of 4SE and 4E for all the care and compassion shown to Stan over the past five weeks. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Fredericton SPCA. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
