Obituary of Arthurina McCoy

With sad hearts the family announces the passing of Arthurina May McCoy of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late L. Reginald McCoy, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 26, 1926 in Burton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ada (Young) Foss. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Ethel Carr. Arthurina enjoyed travelling with her late husband, pampering her dogs, collecting ceramic dolls, doing crafts, and knitting for her grandchildren. She was a past member of the Elm City Square Dance Club. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda Daley (Jim) of Oromocto, Darlene Allaby (Monte) of Fredericton, Gail Fox (Stephen) of Harvey, and Debra Dunphy (Robert) of Fredericton; her sons, Reginald McCoy of Fredericton, and Daniel McCoy (Susan) of Rusagonis; grandchildren, Joanie Allison (Colin), Jeannette Clowater (Evan), John Daley, Kim McCoy (Chris), Terry Fox (Angela), Stephanie Fox, Kenneth Fox (Theano), Reg Allaby, Stacey Allaby (Stacy), Tim Dunphy, Shelley Naugle (Barry), and Andrew Greer; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Nashwaak Villa in Stanley and 4SW at DECH whose care and kindness to mom is deeply appreciated. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Dwight McCoy officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
