Obituary of Elizabeth Allen

The passing of Elizabeth “Eleanor” Allen of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Gerald “Jay” Allen occurred on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 12, 1927 in North Devon, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Greta (Young) Ebbett. Eleanor was an active member of several committees and organization in her community. Eleanor is survived by her grandson, Andrew Jeffrey; sister, Mary Murch; sisters in law, Connie and Darlene Ebbett; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Susan (Allen) Jeffrey; brothers, Stanley and John Ebbett; sister in law, Frances Allen MacKinnon Reilly Frost; brother in law, Joe Murch. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 1 pm with Rev. J. D. Kennedy officiating. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice.
