Obituary of Lois Grant

The passing of Lois Eileen Grant of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Donald J. Grant occurred on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 10, 1936 in Guysborough, NS, she was the daughter of the late Lockie and Marion Hendsbee. She was a member of Victory Tabernacle. Lois loved spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her daughters, Donna Grant of Oakville, ON, Sherry Thomas (Duane), Brenda Grant and Darlene Anderson (Jamie) all of Fredericton, NB; son, David Grant (Doris) of Missouri, USA; grandchildren, Lori McAleer-Mitchell (Rob), Troy Henderson, Angie Henderson, Cholena Bagley, Jesse Shepard (Sarah), Kayla Grant and Andrea Grant (Pat); great grandchildren, Kierstyn McAleer-Mitchell, Gage Henderson, Nicki Lee Vestroy, Jaeda Paul, Jackson Shepard, Jakeb Shepard, Jace Shepard, Emma Grant, Harlow Pickard and Dexter Pickard; great great grandchildren, Brooklyn Gajdacs and Charlotte Mitchell-Thomas; sister, Helen Grover (Earl) of Halifax, NS; brother, Richard Hendsbee (Margaret) of Lunenburg, NS; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Nickie Spencer; sister, Doris Dowe and brother, Wayne Hendsbee. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 2 pm with Pastor Emily Houle. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
