Obituary of Ruth McCullough

The passing of Ruth Doreen (Saunders) McCullough of Keswick Ridge, NB, occurred on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 30, 1939 she was the wife of the late Frank Ernest McCullough and daughter of Jessie (Boulter) Saunders and the late David Saunders. Ruth graduated from Fredericton High School in 1957 and then from the Victoria Public School of Nursing in 1961. She worked as a nurse at the VPH, DECRH and the Extra Mural Program for ten years before retiring in 1996. Ruth was a life member of the Women’s Institute and member of Keswick Ridge United Church. In addition to her mother, Ruth is survived by her sons, Michael McCullough (Angela), Keith McCullough, Tim McCullough (Tara) and Andy McCullough (Michelle); grandchildren, Conor, Scott, Liam, Laura, Leslie and Sarah McCullough; sisters, Carole (Saunders) Brown and Marilyn (Saunders) Stackhouse (Ken); brother, David Saunders (Anita); brother-in-law, Aubrey McCullough (Beryl Ann); and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Keswick Ridge United Church on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. David Luker officiating. Interment will be in Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery, Keswick Ridge. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Keswick Ridge United Church or Extra Mural.
