Obituary of Rose Davidson
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Anna Davidson announces her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on the early evening of Tuesday, September 6, 2016. She was 81 years old. She was the wife of Wallace Davidson, her husband of 44 years, who predeceased her when he was 63 years old. Rose was born in Red Bank, NB. She moved to Fredericton in her teens and Fredericton has been her permanent home. She was first and foremost a kind and loving mother. Rose enjoyed bowling, dancing and the seniors group at Devon Park Baptist Church. She was a kind, cheerful and quiet spirit, who will be missed by all.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Johnston (Ronald) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Michael Davidson (Sandra) of Rusagonis, NB and Wallace Davidson Jr. of Ripples, NB; two granddaughters, Brittney and Lindsey Davidson; one great granddaughter, Alexis Worden; her only remaining sibling, her sister, Fern McLean (Ralph) of Coal Creek, NB; sister in law, Claudette Purdy of Edmonton, AB; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Wellington and Ella Knox, Rose was predeceased by her brothers, Garnet and Calvin Knox, and her daughter in law, Karen Davidson.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 6-8 pm. A Private Family Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Pastor Stephen Matthews officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery.
