Obituary of Wayne Chenard

Life Legacy It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Douglas Chenard, of Fredericton, NB, announce his passing on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Fredericton Hospice. Born on August 13, 1944, he was the son of the late Arthur and Vera Chenard. Wayne was a member of the Sunset Church. He was employed at NB Power for 31 years. Wayne was blessed with the gift of music. He spent many years singing and playing guitar with the Gospelaires. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Toronto Blue Jays. Wayne will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, papa and friend. Wayne is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Rice); son, Ernest (Penny); daughters, Ann Marie, Tammy Legere (Shawn), Amy Lynn (Jamie Clark) and Jennie (Luc Cyr); grandchildren, Sheena, Colby, Brittany, Callum, Jax, Kyle, Faith, Olivia, Ben, Emily (Travis McGilligan), Hannah, Grace and Miranda; great grandchildren, Landon, Aiden, and Wyatt; brothers, Arthur, Gary, Dennis and Skip; sisters, Lorraine, Bonnie and Vicky; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his son, Ricky. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 2-3 pm, with a Memorial Service to take place immediately following at 3 pm at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joseph Beesley officiating. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date.
