Obituary of Jacqueline Donovan

Donovan, Jacqueline Marie The passing of Jacqueline Marie Donovan of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the York Care Centre. Born on September 24, 1935 in Renous, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edison and Hilda (Gillispie) Whalen. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church. Jacqueline worked as a Secretary for Rosser Sales. Jacqueline is survived by her son, Kevin Donovan of Fredericton, NB; grandson, Jessie Woodcock; sisters, Ann Blacquier of Medicine Hat, AB, Marlene Hummerstone of Edmonton, AB and Doreen Carson of Fredericton, NB; brother, Robert Whalen (Heather) of Fredericton, NB; cousin, Mary Lou Campbell; several nieces and nephews; special niece and chosen sister, Penny Whalen. Besides her parents, and common law partner, Darrell McLaughlin, she was predeceased by her brother, Terrance Whalen. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11 am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. The family wishes to express their gratitude to York Care Centre Staff for their compassion and care shown to Jacqueline, and their kindness shown to the her family.
