Obituary of Lewis Newman

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Lewis Herbert Newman on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi, NB. Born on May 8, 1944 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Henry and Viola (Barnett) Newman. Lewis loved to travel with his family and enjoyed family events. In addition to his wife, Louise (Claybourne) Newman, Lewis is survived by his brothers, Stanley (Kathryn), Wayne, Charles (Linda), Phillip and Arthur; sisters, Laura Good (Ron), Margaret Good (Harold) and Christina McInnis (Larry); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lillian Webb (Patrick); brothers, Henry (Kathleen) and William (Dolly). A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Peter Moore officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery.
