Obituary of Tess Burrow

The passing of Tess Burrow of Fredericton, NB occurred on July 30, 2016 at her home. Born on June 29, 1929 in Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anne (MacDonald) Lecky. Tess was a graduate of Concordia University (St. George Williams), and was very proud to be one of the first women to graduate from the University of Toronto; she then went on to work as a speech and language pathologist. Tess was a member of MENSA, and she greatly enjoyed gardening, reading and playing Scrabble, cribbage and cards. Tess is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Burrow of Sydney, NS; sons, William Burrow of Fredericton, NB, Robert Burrow (Fatima Squizani) of Santa Maria, Brazil, and Timothy Burrow (Sze-Wan Li) of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Thomas and Sophia Burrow; brother, Don Lecky; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Tess was predeceased by her sisters, Evelyn, Emily, Gertrude, Rose, and Rhoda, and her brother, Dave. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 12 to 2 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 2 pm.
