Obituary of Walter Schwartz

Schwartz, Walter Rae The passing of Walter Rae Schwartz occurred on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born on September 12, 1931 in Woodlands, NB, he was the son of the late Amos and Annie (Fowler) Schwartz.Walter was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Fredericton, NB. He served 19 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force and 20 years as a stationary engineer with the Province of NB. He is survived by his sisters, Eva Logan, Faye Thomas (Irvine) and Helen Bartlett all of Fredericton, NB, and Frances McFadzen (Bob) of Calgary, AB; brothers, John Schwartz (Phyllis) and Herb Schwartz both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews and long time friend, Phyllis Mitton. He was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn Schwartz and Mavis Stickles. Although there will be no visitation a Memorial Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Saturday, August 06, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. Interment will take place at the Woodlands Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Woodlands Cemetery or the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church (New Building Fund). A very special thank-you to all who cared for Walter at Pine Grove Nursing Home for their exemplary care, special consideration and compassion during his stay there.
