Obituary of Duane MacKay

The passing of Duane Miles Alexander MacKay of Douglas, NB, husband of Dianne (Crockett) MacKay occurred on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 30, 1950 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Alex and Mary (Saunders) MacKay. Duane retired after being a firefighter with the City of Fredericton for 28 years. In addition to his wife, Duane is survived by his sons, Joe MacKay (Vickie), Derek MacKay and Jason Curtis (Gaetane); sisters, Sheila Canfield (Birley), Shirley Davidson (Bill), Debbie MacKay (Eric); sisters in law, Helen Hawkins (Claire) and Donna Hovey; brothers in law, Doug Crockett (Bobbie) and Danny Hoyt. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, infant Mary Pearl, Sharon Anderson and Marilyn Hoyt. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2 pm. The interment will take place in Hawkins Cemetery.
